Scottish documentary filmmaker who made his feature directorial debut with Dalton’s Dream (BBC Storyville/VPRO) alongside filmmaker Kim Longinotto.
Previous work includes documentaries for Netflix, HBO, the BBC and Channel 4, where he produced the acclaimed OUR BABY: A MODERN MIRACLE, documenting transgender couple Jake & Hannah Graf as they navigated starting a family through surrogacy. His most recent project WHEN THE WORDS AWAY WENT captures the lives of three people living with Aphasia, a loss of language caused by a stroke.
Alongside part-time work, Franky is now developing a slate of independent documentaries (short and
feature length) and in the process of establishing a small production company.
